I don't know of any other group that has made the progress in any "era" as the Baby Boomer Women have. They have come a long way in the last 40-50 years. As a husband, a father, and a grandfather, I salute you.

The truth of the matter is, THE WOMENS MOVEMENT has made more progress since the 60s era than the almost 200 years before. Today you see women in practically ever type of job that you can think of, from truck drivers, construction workers, lawyers, doctors, private pilots, both military, airline and corporate pilots, nurses, school teachers and the list goes on. Women have long since dispelled the myth that they were to small, to soft, not mentally capable, not reliable because of pregnancy, and many more excuses. Speaking as a hetrosexual man that has studied this subject historically, I still don't understand it. Like many women baby boomers, my wife wasn't my first marriage, but she is my last. Many women who hold job types as I mentioned often times are not only wives but also mothers and grandmothers. Just a reminder to all of you moms with kids in school.The latest Census Bureau statistics reveal that women owned businesses are hotter than ever. Between 1997 and 2002 women started businesses at twice the national rate. Women-owned businesses with more than $1 million in revenue went up by 18% and those with more than 100 employees went up by 10%.

Women have participated in and performed heroically in every war from the Revoulationary war, to present day wars like Afganistan, and Iraq. From the MASH units of Korea to combat fighter pilots of some of the most sophisticated aircraft in the world today, women have performed that role just as good and sometimes better than men.

Many boomer women that work, stay-at-home-moms, those who have retired may be looking for a job, or business change. Maybe you are like me retired but want to be able to do more things financially. Boomer women of today wear many hats.
