Baby boomers fitness, dieting and excerise

Hey, What happened? Some of us are facing that dreaded number 60. Baby boomer fitness must become an important part of our lifestyle. This includes eating right getting the proper execrise and NO STRESS. After all, we only feel 40 years old. Honestly that is the part I have a hard time convincing myself of lately. I am under no illusions about aging and yes lets be honest. We are starting to have those aches and pains that is commonly associated with the aging process. SO WHAT!! That doesn't mean that we don't have 30 to 40 years left or maybe more. If you are a diabetic you might want to check out this site. Free Diabetic Supplies I promised plenty of free resources through out my site. So!! This is a great fitness site. Lots of free information.

I do not profess to being a medical professional, so maybe between the three sites we can all learn something. I am sure that baby boomers lifestyles from all of the countries has included some type of fitness or excercise program in it. Boomer fitness

WHO KNOWS, I just wish the medical researchers at least in this country, would make up their minds about certain things. For example, one report will say coffee is bad for you and the next report will say no, it is actually good for you. It's no big secret that as we grow older it gets a little harder to keep the weight off. This is one of my favorite health sites. Hottest Discounted Health Products

I think a lot of the problem is the world is just more fast paced, everyone is always in a hurry, and the fast food places have become just a little to convenient. Until a couple of years ago I was a "FAST FOOD JUNKIE" and totally addicted to chocolate. We tried most of the fad diets, kinda wandering from one to the other. I lost weight on a couple of them but just gained it right back. I guess I have to give the South Beach diet credit for getting me off of sweets, but it involved to much cooking.

My wife started making up her on receipes and we slowely just transitioned to a different eating lifestyle. Things that I previously refused to eat, like fruits, vegtables fish etc., I really enjoy and seriously I never ate fruit before. I don't remember the last time I had "junk food". So for us it was a eating lifestyle change that helped us, rather than dieting for a while then getting burned out and going back to the whole habits. This web site I use a lot for excerise information. American counsel on excercise site has info. on all types of excercises. I have always used a lot of different nutritational products some from different companies. I always come back to this company. They have been in business for years and and they have every type supplement that you can think of. You can be naturally beautiful, for less. Save up to 75% on Designer Bikinis at LabelSpree

Baby boomers fitness is going to have to be a top priority, because with all of the advances in medicine people "as a rule are living longer and I don't know about you but I would prefer not to live mine as a vegtable. Its just a fact that as we get older we loose muscle mass. Some type of strength training excercises will help. Yahoo! Music Unlimited Music to Play & Share!

Your present physical situation has a lot to do with your capabilities. I have a complete physical every two years and take my doctors advice on the things that I can do. I recommend everyone do the same. I personally enjoy walking outside to using a treadmill. I take my little dog with me and of course he loves it.

Sports injuries bring a lot of business to the medical profession. I hope nothing ever happens to you. Unfortunately not all Surgeons in today's society have the patients best interest at heart. I know from personal experience. I have used this site to find information about my doctors. Doctor Quality Reports

By the way, this site has every type fitness shoe you can think of..

According to Greg Bahnfleth of Life Fitness Academy, doctors are seeing an increase in injuries to boomers' knees, ankles, lower back, and shoulders. One of the best things boomers can do to

avoid injuries is exercise regularly. " Don't think of exercise as an ounce of prevention; its more than that. It is pounds of prevention.

Here are some excerise tips from Bahnfleth for baby boomers who want to decrease their risk of injury and maintain an active, healthy lifestyle.

See your Doctor. Before beginning any excerise program, discuss with your doctor your health history, previous injuries, physical issues such as tendonitis, arthritis, lower back pain, or any recent falls or fractures.

If you can afford it, you may want to see a certified fitness professional.

Be realistic. Set up an excerise schedule that is realistic given your current activity level and time commitments. If you've never had a regular workout routine, begin slowely so your body can adjust and you won't feel overwhelmed.

I told my wife when she got down to that magic number she could go to this site and do some shopping. Maybe some of you boomer women would like to check it out. My wife and I both like to dress, so its just natural, when you start feeling good, you want to look good.

Exercise regularly. Boomers who excerise regularly during the week will be less prone to injuries than "weekend warriors" who don't train regularly. My wife is very bad at this one. She want exercise for a while, then she will jump on our equipment and work out like she is training for the olympics then she is so sore that she can hardly move for a couple of weeks. Don't forget to pamper yourself a little, maybe some new clothes. For the modern woman.

Warm up and stretch. Cold tight muscles are more prone to injury. Start each workout with walking in place, maybe some jumping jacks and then stretching slowly and gently.

Mix it up. An effective fitness program includes cardiovascular excerises like, bicycling, running, swimming, light strength training and flexibility exercises. Only you know what your body is capable of, so start slow and don't over do it. One of my favorite Pieces of exercise equipment is called the Total Gym. I have one in my office. It is actually similar to some of the equipment that I have seen in hospital physical therapy rooms, just a toned down version. Above all, talk to your physician and let him help you get started on a good program if you haven't excerised regularly for a while. I will be the first to admit that we boomers don't like to admit that we are getting older. But that is just a fact of life that none of us have any control over. Below is another website that I like.
